Ex-LMS 3MT 2-6-2T No 40135 is seen standing at rest on the truncated down through road in between moving luggage and parcels. This rather expensive solution was the only option for the entire period of reconstruction. Built as LMS No 135 at Derby works in October 1935 it remained in service until it was withdrawn in November 1962 from Nuneaton shed and after a long period in store was cut up for scrap during August 1964 at Crewe works.
