Layout of the station prior to the 1901-4 building work with Eaton road and the main entrance at the bottom. The 1901-4 extensions only impacted on the down platform through the installation of the 'Incline Machine' used to allow excursion passengers to exit the station via Warwick Road rather than having to use the footbridge in order to cross over to exit via Eaton Road. The majority of the additional work was to the up platform which saw the re-configuration of the station offices and the building of new passenger facilities and the canopy at the main entrance.
