A side view of a twelve cylinder Armstrong Siddeley engine and gear-box of the type fitted to the Coventry Pneumatic Rail Car. The twelve-cylinder petrol engine developed 240 horse power. This was coupled to a self-changing gear-box giving four speeds in either direction.
