Ex-LMS 2-8-0 8F No 48616 is seen carrying a 18A Toton shed plate as it comes off Coventry shed having been coaled and watered circa 1957. Built as LMS No 8616 at Brighton works in October 1943 it remained in service until it was withdrawn in October 1960 from Cricklewood shed in London to be scrapped during October 1960 by Derby works. It was the first of the class to be withdrawn having suffered extensive damage in a serious accident in June 1960.
