Close up of image 'lnwrcs2135' showing siding No 3 on the right splitting into two roads which continue through the transit shed. The shed provided cover to workmen off-loading the wagons on to horse-drawn road vehicles. The rails are therefore set into cobblestones rather than being exposed sitting on sleepers as can be seen in image 'lnwrcs2104'. Hung from the edge of the roof, both to the front and the left-hand side, appears to be tarpaulins or sacking which is thought to have been initiated either to protect the workmen from inclement weather, or much more likely, part of a process of initiating blackout facilities to protect the shed from air raids during the Second World War.
