Careful examination shows that there is at least one swan-necked gas lit lamp suspended from the waiting room building whilst there three bulk-head type electric lights fitted to the front of the passenger shelter. The peak for railway commuter traffic from Foleshill commenced in the 1930s and lasted until the late 1950s when road transport, both public and private, began to make significant inroads into passenger numbers.
