View from the driving cab of an motor fitted train as it approaches Hawkesbury Lane station with a local passenger service to Nuneaton. Motor fitted trains were used to reduce the need for the locomotive to run around the train when at the end of their journey in order to return. They were usually two coaches long with an elderly ex-LNWR 2-4-2T locomotive at the other end, later to be replaced by Ivatt 2-6-2T locomotives. As seen in images 'lnwroffch1451' and 'lnwrk152' these trains were common to the Rugby to Leamington route as well as the Nuneaton to Leamington line.
