Kenilworth Station: lnwrk162

General layout of Kenilworth station and yards with the up line at the top proceeding to Leamington and the down line at the bottom for Coventry

General layout of Kenilworth station and yards with the up line at the top proceeding to Leamington and the down line at the bottom for Coventry. The map shows the walled in general goods yard with goods shed to the left of the approach road and the Coal yard to the right. When first built the two yards were on the opposite sides to those shown above, with the Coal yard on the left and the goods yard on the right. On the left at the bottom of the approach road the weighbridge and office is visible as is the station master's house on the right adjacent to the Coal Yard. The footbridge to the left of the station replaced in 1885 a level crossing which was part of a track which left from Clarendon Street from just below the gated entrance to the station. A further footpath was provided at the time the footbridge was erected which ran in a straight line from the bridge to the newly built Priory Road.
