Ex-LMS 4-6-0 6P Rebuilt Royal Scot No 46121 'Highland Light Infantry' 'City of Glasgow Regiment' at the head of an up express leaving Kilsby Tunnel's southern portal. Built by the North British Locomotive Company with a parallel boiler as LMS No 6121 'Highland Light Infantry'' in November 1927, No 46121 was rebuilt with a tapered Stanier 2A boiler. In January 1949 the name was amended by the addition of 'City of Glasgow Regiment' to its original name, the extra wording being accommodated by a second, much smaller line of text, on the curved splasher mounted nameplate with badge above both. The locomotive remained in service until December 1962 when it was withdrawn from 66A Polmadie shed to be scrapped by J McWilliam & Sons of Shettleston.
