Ex-MR 2F 0-6-0 No 58185 is seen standing 'coaled and watered' on the Promenade sidings circa 1957. With the arrival of six Johnson designed 2F 0-6-0 locomotives in 1932, this class was to be present for the majority of the shed's working life. One reason being the light axle loading required on the Harborne Branch. This particular locomotive had been transferred to Monument Lane from Aston Shed during the week ending 26th January 1952 and as the last of the class to be based at Monument Lane, transferred to Bescot shed during the week ending December 1961. The 2F was officially designated as being a member of the MR's 1422 class and as such was built by Neilson & Company circa 1876 and remained in service until it was withdrawn from 21B Bescot shed during July 1962.
