Ex-LMS 3MT 2-6-2T No 40207 is seen arriving at platform two on a three-coach local stopping train from Coventry circa 1961-2. Built as LMS No 207 at Crewe works circa 1938 to the least successful Stanier design - Derby's design office was allowed to resurrect outdated practices relating to cylinder design - No 40207 remained in service until February 1962 when it was withdrawn from Nuneaton shed to be scrapped in October 1962 by J Cashmore of Great Bridge after being stored at Coventry shed in the intervening period.
