British Railways 7MT 4-6-2 'Britannia Class' No 70054 'Dornoch Firth' at the head of a down express passes through Nuneaton station on 26th March 1964. Built by Crewe works in September 1954, No 70054 was to remain in service for but a short time being withdrawn in November 1966 from 12A Kingmoor shed in Carlisle to be scrapped by the Motherwell Machinery and Scrap Company based in Wishaw.

Britannia class locomotive No.70054 Dornoch Firth of Crewe North (5A) shed speeds northbound past platform 3 at Nuneaton (Trent Valley) station on the afternoon of Thursday 26th March 1964, around 3pm.
