Postcard view of Clifton Road signal box from another angle as a LNWR 4-4-0 storms underneath on an up express

This postcard shows Clifton road box and overbridges from a different angle circa 1910. The road bridge in the distance is Clifton Road, whilst the locomotive is on a Euston express passing under the Northampton line. The signals on the left control the down lines and are tall to enhance vision from a distance whilst the lower arms are repeaters to aid vision at night and in fog. The signals on the right with circles on the arms are thought to be controlling both the Northampton down line and the sidings at the lower level in front of the train.
