LNWR 4-6-0 Claughton class No 161 is seen coming off the turntable with the Great Central viaduct in the background circa 1922. Built at Crewe works in April 1921 No 161 was numbered by the LMS as No 6016 in August 1927 and remained in service until withdrawn in January 1935 to be scrapped at Crewe works.
