Looking towards Coventry along Stechford station's up platform with the booking office and hall above and No 1 Signal Cabin in the distance. The overhead gantries are signs of early preparation for the electrification of the West Coast route, including the spur from Rugby to Stafford via Birmingham. Eventually this would also involve the removal of the booking office to be replaced by a soulless building to the side of the station in Victoria Road.
