An interesting lineside view of a southbound express passing the signal after the Maryvale Road bridge. The higher level of the path to Bournville shed behind the fence to the left is evident. The engine is a black five allocated to Sheffield's Millhouses depot. This depot powered many express trains from Yorkshire to Bristol. The photo is undated but was probably taken on Sunday 12th September 1954, the same day as 'mrb474'.
