LMS Route: Birmingham West Suburban Railway

Ex-MR 3F 0-6-0 No 43359 and ex-LMS 4F 0-6-0 No 44571 simmer in steam inside the shed during the late 1950s. Built as MR No 3359 by Derby works in 1891, No 43359 was to remain in service until August 1960 when it was withdrawn from 21A Saltley shed to be scrapped. Ex-LMS 4F 0-6-0 No 44571 had been built by Crewe works in August 1937 and was to remain in service until December 1964 when it was withdrawn from 5B Crewe South shed to be scrapped.
