with a separate reference to the Stratford Midland Junction Railway. Until this
photograph came to light it hadn't been realised, at least by this author, that
a separate board had been incorporated into the station's name board to
advertise the connection to the Stratford on Avon Midland Junction Railway. The
actual wording on the board reads 'For Stratford on Avon Midland Junction
Railway'. This supplementary name board is evident in earlier views, see images
'mrbj537a' and 'mrbj156a'
but was to far away to see any writing. The LMS' later station board seen in
image 'mrbj538' provided both the station name and
the reference to the Stratford on Avon Midland Junction Railway all on one name
board.
