View looking north towards Redditch showing the grounded coach body on Broom Junction's platform circa 1938. The station's inadequate facilities has resulted in an ex-Lancashire & Yorkshire Railway coach body being installed on the platform for use as storage by station staff. The sidings to the right were used for both local goods traffic and to exchange traffic between the Midland Railway line and the Stratford upon Avon & Midland Junction Railway. To access the Stratford upon Avon & Midland Junction Railway line to Stratford upon Avon, goods trains from the South needed to reverse at Broom Junction until the Second World War led to the southern connection being installed in 1942.
