Camp Hill Station: mrch1425

View of the front elevation of Camp Hill station's main passenger facilities located on the up platform. The building has a distinctive design feature having brick built walls at either end with a central open concourse, forming the booking hall and general waiting room, with an extreme ornate screen located on the platform elevation. It would appear from close examination of the original print that the other elevation which faced out onto the station driveway was built in brick and to a style seen at either end of this photograph. This section of the up platform is solid being faced with brick whereas the narrower section of the up platform, which lies to the left of this photograph, was constructed using timber. The latter required being lighter as it was built on an embankment with housing below.
