Ex-LMS 4-6-0 5XP No 45664 'Nelson', a Jubilee class locomotive, is seen on an up express service on 3rd April 1955. Church Road Junction signal box can just be seen in the distance on the left. The difference in track level between the branch line on the left and the main line on the right is already apparent in the short distance from the junction. Built at Derby works in January 1935 No 45664 was to remain in service until May 1965 when it was withdrawn from 55A Holbeck shed.
