LMS Route: Evesham to Birmingham

Evesham Station: mre1299

Ex-LMS 2-6-4T 4P No 42421 is heading the 11:38 am from Redditch to Askchurch and is seen taking water at the south end of the former Midland station at Evesham. Built as LMS No 2421 at Derby works to Lot 101 in December 1933, No 42421 was to remain in service until September 1964 when it was withdrawn from 5C Stafford shed to be scrapped by Crewe works during October 1964.
