Ex-LMS 0-6-0 4F No 43941 is seen hauling a Class K stopping freight as it is about to cross the Worcester & Birmingham canal on 4th March 1956. The canal was located between Lifford and Hazelwell at a place where the railway was carried on an embankment. Built by Armstrong Whitworth in 1920, No 43941 was to remain in service for little more than a year later being withdrawn during September 1957 from 18A Toton shed to be scrapped during October 1957 by Derby works.
