British Railways built 2MT 2-6-0 No 46442 is seen passing through Kings Norton on a down goods service on a cold and misty winter's morning. Built by Crewe works in February 1950, No 46442 was to have a very short service life being withdrawn from 2A Tyseley shed in October 1966 to be scrapped by J Casmores of Newport.
