Close up of the structures on the up platform which were demolished by the time the line was quadrupled in the 1930s

This close up of image 'mrkn522' shows the structures on the up platform which were demolished when the line was quadrupled in the 1930s. Its not known which of the three were built first (the different designs indicate that they were not built at the same time) but one would assume that the brick built structure in the centre with its more complex design of hipped roofs was the first.

However its the furthest and largest structure at the far end which has the chimney indicating the provision of some comfort to passengers in the winter. There appears to be two doors and at a guess one waiting room would be for First Class passengers, the other being to the ladies waiting room. Its not known what the nearest building was used for, the windows to the front and side indicates it was light inside but there is no door evident indicating its either on the other side or at back.
