View of Pershore Road South looking towards Cotteridge Village with the entrance to the station on the right in April 1963. The bridge was itself rebuilt in 1926 when the station was widened to incorporate the four platforms. For road vehicle enthusiasts, on the left can be seen a side elevation of a 1950s Ford, an MG tourer of 1930s vintage, a Rootes Hillman Minx in the road is a rear engined Renault Dauphine with a Ford Anglia behind and being passed by an MG Midget or Austin Healey Sprite. On the right of the road is a Ford Anglia with a Ford Consular behind and on the pavement is a Morris Minor with what appears to be an Austin Cambridge or its Morris Oxford equivalent. The number of British cars was not unique at the time and the number of British Motor Corporation cars was probably due to its Longbridge factory being nearby and the discounts its workers could secure.
