View of the approach to the western end of Kings Norton carriage sidings showing the four running lines into the station. On the left is a goods train stabled on the goods up line and beyond are carriages also stabled on the up goods line. In between the goods train and the coaches are the points that allowed the goods train to be transferred to the Camp Hill line as seen in image 'mrkn526' which was probably taken on the same day as this photograph. Bob Essery states in his book that as goods traffic for Camp Hill would effectively block both the up and down main lines when crossing over they could be held for several hours at this point.
