Ex-MR 2P 4-4-0 No 509 doubleheads ex-MR 2P 4-4-0 No 369 on a thirteen or fourteen coach holiday special during the summer (July or August) 1936. Built by Sharp Stewart in November 1899 No 509 lasted in service for another twenty-one years before being withdrawn from Green Park shed near Bath on the SDJR in June 1957 for scrapping at Derby works in June 1957. The train engine No 369 was built as a member of the MR's 1738 class at Derby in June 1886 and fared less well as it only lasted in service for a short time being scrapped not long after the photograph was taken.
