Ex-MR 3P 4-4-0 No 737 stands in Kings Norton carriage sidings buffered up to another locomotive whilst the fireman poses for the camera on 19th March 1925. A noticeable feature of the locomotives built by Deeley just after the turn of the century was the square splasher incorporated into the cabside instead of the semi-circular splasher. A member of the MR's 2606 class No 737 was built at Derby works in June 1903 and remained in service until it was withdrawn in September 1925 to be scrapped by Derby works shortly afterwards.
