MR 2P 4-4-0 No 492 at the head of a down express near Northfield during the summer holidays in August 1921. Yet another member of the Midland Railway's 483 class, No 492 was allocated to Saltley shed during the final years of the Midland Railway's independence prior to grouping in 1923. Built at Derby works in March 1897, No 492 was withdrawn from Crewe North shed in November 1948 before being scrapped at Derby works circa 1949.
