LMS Route: Evesham to Birmingham

Ex-LMS 2-6-4T No 42327 is seen stabled inside of Redditch shed on 22nd April 1951. The shed's facilities were very basic being a sub-shed of 21 B Bournville, as can be seen by the 'privy' built alongside the shed on the left. Redditch North Signal Box can be seen on the right. Built in February 1929 by Derby works as LMS No 2327 to Lot 53, No 42327 remained in service until August 1965 when it was withdrawn from 9E Trafford Park shed to be scrapped by J Cashmore of Newport.
