Ex-MR 4P 4-4-0 Compound No 1014 is seen standing next to the Ash Plant as the crew clean the fire as evidenced by the fire irons leaning against the footplate on 24th August 1935. Built in December 1905 at Derby as one of Deeley's pioneer Compounds, No 1014 remained in service until June 1952 when it was withdrawn from Derby shed.
