Ex-LMS 5XP 4-6-0 No 45614 'Leeward Islands' is standing on the back roads behind Saltley No 3 shed in May 1962. Built at Crewe works in August 1934, No 45614 was a member of Stanier's Jubilee class and was to remain in service until January 1964 when it was withdrawn from 17A Derby shed to be scrapped. At the time of this photo, No 45614 was allocated to 17B Burton shed.
