Saltley Station: mrsalt646
Ex-Midland Railway 2F 0-6-0 No 3527 is seen passing through
Saltley station at the head of a down class K local trip service to one of
Birmingham's goods yards. Built by Neilson & Company circa 1897 No 3527
remained in service until May 1959 when as BR No 58281 it was officially
withdrawn from Bushbury shed although it had been in store at Rugby from
October 1958 and in May 1959 it was recorded as being dumped at Derby and in
August 1959 was at Spondon Junction.
