LMS 2P 4-4-0 No 700 is seen leaving Saltley shed's coaling tower and entering the shed after being coaled and watered

LMS 2P 4-4-0 No 700 is seen leaving Saltley shed's coaling tower and entering the shed after being coaled and watered on 4th April 1936. Behind the locomotive can be seen the shed's large water tank with Saltley No 2's roundhouse roof just seen above and Saltley's No 3 roundhouse on the right. Built at Crewe works in December 1932, No 700 remained in service until September 1962 when it was withdrawn from Bath Green Park on the Somerset & Dorset Railway to be scrapped by Derby works in December 1962.
