Ex-LMS 5MT 4-6-0 No 44776 fills the shed with steam as BR Standard 9F 2-10-0 No 92138 is being prepared for another day's work on 7th March 1965. The Stanier Black Five had been built at Crewe works in June 1947 and was to remain in service until October 1967 when it was withdrawn from 8F Springs Branch shed. The Riddles 9F was also built at Crewe works, in July 1957, and had a very short working life being withdrawn in July 1967 from Speke shed.
