Ex-LMS 2-6-0 'Horwich Crab' No 42855 blows off steam as it heads a parcels train past the exit to Washwood Heath Sidings on 5th September 1962. Built at Crewe works in March 1930, No 42855 remained in service until September 1964 when it was withdrawn from 9M Bolton shed.
