Looking towards Saltley station showing the entrance to the West end of Washwood Heath's down sidings on the left and the former LNWR bridge carrying the Stechford to Aston line. Careful examination of the photograph will show the water tank seen in image 'mrwhg641' standing in front of the right hand abutment of the ex-LNWR bridge. Washwood Heath Sidings No 2 Signal box would have been on the left some 100 yards behind the photographer.
