Washwood Heath Sidings: mrwhg638

View of Washwood Heath Sidings No 2 Signal Box located at the Birmingham end of the down sidings between the departure lines of the Front and Back Fans. Bob Essery records that the signal box controlled all departures from of West trains from the sidings and was opened on 14th March 1892 being originally described as Washwood Heath Sidings Signal Box. It was renamed as Washwood Heath Sidings No 2 on 18th August 1895 to be further modified by being elevated on 5th May 1914 and was then converted to a shunting frame on 24th April 1969.
