A view of the side elevation of the Midland Railway's Bridge No 1 over the Tame River near Kingsbury in 1907. This is a skew bridge, with two river and two flood openings, each with a 45 feet span on the square, and 48 feet 3 inches, on the skew. Its total length is 255 feet. The superstructure is composed of steel girders, and the piers and abutments are of masonry. The other bridge over the Tame, three-quarters of a mile from Water Orton, is of precisely the same design and construction, but this latter is a square bridge, with three openings, two of which are Hood openings, each of 50 feet span, while its total length is 200 feet.
