Close up image 'smje12' showing Ettington station's main structure which housed the booking office, waiting rooms and toilets. The station, whilst grander than most intermediate stops along the line, was not as imposing as its near neighbour Kineton. In addition to its size, the style and materials used in its construction were more run of the mill than its next door neighbour. The signal at the end of the up platform has been raised to allow the train approaching from Stratford on Avon to pass through the station unhindered. The LMS posterboard has been stripped of posters whilst at the far end of the building a post with a sign projecting out over the platform indicates the entrance to the gentlemen's toilets.
