A close up view of Kineton station's goods shed showing the arched windows and the platform inside the shed. The platform was built to a similar height to later passenger platforms and were designed to allow staff to off-load goods from railway vehicles with the maximum of ease. The platform would also be used to store goods as merchants would be allowed to store their goods, either outwards or inwards, for approximately three days before incurring storage charges. The goods traffic would have consignment notes which would be recorded in books using the yard foreman's desk which would have been found in the shed.
