LMS Route: Stratford Midland Junction - The Shakespeare Route

Ex-MR 3F 0-6-0 No 43223 stands in steam on shed as ex-MR 4F 0-6-0 No 43875 passes through Stratford upon Avon Station with a down freight on 2nd May 1957. Built at Derby works in 1890, No 43223 was to remain in service until June 1959 when it was withdrawn to be scrapped. Ex-MR 4F 0-6-0 No 43875 was built by Derby works in 1918 and it remained in service until May 1956 when it was withdrawn to be scrapped. Both locomotives were at this time officially allocated to Saltley shed.
