View of the exterior of the original Stratford on Avon station prior to the 1909 extensions and just after the formation of the SMJR. The car belongs to Messrs. Bollands and was used to take excursionists travelling from Marylebone via the Great central to visit 'Skakespear Country'. The station has yet to receive the extension on the left which accommodated the refreshment room's tap room and the lamp room seen in image 'smjsa42'. The facade is covered in advertising material either posters or enamel signs for products such as 'Players Navy Cut' cigarettes and 'Wood Milne Rubber Heels'.
