Building the last Main Line Railway

Looking along the contractor's temporary track towards the near completed southern portal of Catesby tunnel. Despite the apparent chaos of a roughly hewn cutting littered with a mass of debris and materials, the curved wing walls and facade are nearing completion. Note the jib of a steam powered crane in the top right of the picture.
