View of the south end of the abandoned platform of the former Great Central station as seen in June 1977. The tracks have been lifted and the station buildings have been demolished, while grass covers the trackbed and broken platform surface. The main station building, located on the bridge in the background, has also been demolished with the former goods yard located on the left being now being used by a timber merchant.
