View from Hillmorton Road bridge looking south along the former Great Central station's platform, as seen in June 1977. The old 'Up' line on the left is now a footpath, while the 'Down' line appears more overgrown. The site has caught the attention of local vandals as many of the platform edging stones have been tipped onto the trackbed below. Note the old goods warehouse on the right with the original painted legend that reads 'GOODS WAREHOUSE' 'GREAT CENTRAL RAILWAY'.
