LNER Route: Leicester to Marylebone

A set of Class 108 Diesel Multiple Units stands at the down platform ready for the next service back to Nottingham on 17th April 1969. The train standing on the former loop line is made up of 3 Class 105 DMU cars numbered M50763, M59310 and M50798. The Class 105 DMUs were built by Cravens Ltd of Sheffield from 1956 to 1959. The class were built with a side profile identical to British Railways Mark 1 carriage stock, using the same doors and windows. None were selected for refurbishment with the last passenger car being withdrawn from service in 1988.
