British Railways built 4-6-0 78xx class No 7827 'Lydham Manor' arrives at Snow Hill with the 09:10 from Barmouth on 21st August 1965 as British Railways built
2-6-2T 41xx class No 4178 brings empty stock into the station. The Manor had been built at Swindon works in December 1950 to Lot 377 and remained in service until October 1965 when it was withdrawn from 6D Shrewsbury shed to eventually be preserved. The Large Prairie was also built at Swindon to Lot 369 in November 1949 and was to remain in service until October 1965 when it was withdrawn from 2B Oxley shed in Wolverhampton to be scrapped by Birds of Long Marston.
