Avon Bridge Power Station: misc_abps155b

The second of four photographs showing the aftermath of a shunting incident at the Power Station's rotary coal tippler in the late 1940s. It is unlikely that locomotive No 2 was moving at a great speed, but the wagons attached to Locomotive No 2 on this side were still full with their loads of slack coal for the power station and the momentum of this load would have resulted in the force necessary to cause the damage to rotary coal tipper.
